Q: What range of motors is compatible with the Slamnasty NoHead frame and what is the recommendation for more aggressive flying?
A: The Slamnasty NoHead 5inch frame is compatible with motors that have a 16x19mm mounting pattern, including the 2204, 2205, 2207, 2306, 2405, 2307, 2308 and 2506 models. For more aggressive, acrobatic flying, we recommend using motors from the 2306 or 2308 range with a kV suited to your battery voltage (for example, 2400-2700kV for 4S or 1700-1900kV for 6S).
Q: The Slamnasty NoHead frame has two hole spacings for the flight controller (30.5×30.5mm and 20x20mm). Which flight controllers are most commonly compatible with this frame?
A: Most modern flight controllers are compatible with at least one of these hole spacings. The 30.5×30.5mm spacing is common on standard-size flight controllers such as those in the Matek F405 or DJI series. The 20x20mm spacing is more common on smaller or 'AIO' (All-In-One) flight controllers. Check your flight controller's specifications to confirm compatibility before installation.
Q: The camera mount is TPU. Which Micro cameras are compatible and what advantages does the TPU material offer in this mount?
A: The frame is designed for Micro cameras 19mm wide, which includes most popular FPV cameras such as the RunCam Nano, Foxeer Toothpick or Caddx Ant. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is a flexible, impact-resistant material, which helps protect the camera from damage in the event of collisions. In addition, TPU absorbs vibrations, which can improve image quality in flight.
