Description
BetaFPV ELRS Lite receiver
The BetaFPV ELRS Lite is a 2.4 GHz ExpressLRS receiver made for small drones: it weighs just 0.47 g with the Tower ceramic antenna and 0.53 g with the flat antenna. ExpressLRS is an open-source radio link with long range and very low latency.
With the antenna built in, there are no wires to snag and no antennas to break on a whoop or toothpick. It connects to the flight controller over a UART using the CRSF protocol and runs on 5 V.
ELRS Lite specifications
- Frequency: 2.4 GHz
- Processor: ESP8285
- Antenna: built-in SMD ceramic, Tower or flat
- Weight: 0.47 g (Tower) or 0.53 g (flat)
- Size: 10 × 10 × 6 mm (Tower) or 11 × 10 × 3 mm (flat)
- Power: 5 V
- Output protocol: CRSF
How to set it up
Solder the 5 V, GND, TX and RX wires to a free UART on the flight controller, crossing TX to RX. In Betaflight enable Serial RX on that port and choose CRSF as the protocol. To bind, the radio and receiver must run the same ExpressLRS version and binding phrase.
Frequently asked questions about the ELRS Lite
Tower or flat antenna?
The Tower is the lightest; the flat one is lower and fits better in whoops with little room.
Which radio do I need?
A 2.4 GHz ExpressLRS radio or module, such as RadioMaster radios with built-in ELRS.
