Amass XT60H connectors with covers
These XT60H connectors are genuine Amass and come as a male and female pair. The H version has a cover that snaps over the terminals and encloses the solder joint, so no heat shrink is needed and the joint is protected from shorts and pulls.
The contacts are gold-plated copper and the body is nylon, rated from -20 to 120 °C. They handle 60 A continuous and 100 A peak, plenty for a 5-inch FPV drone, and Amass recommends 12 AWG wire and about 1000 mating cycles of service life.
XT60H connectors are the standard battery plug on 5-inch FPV drones and many chargers, so with this pair you can replace a drone’s plug, repair a battery lead or make your own charge leads. When soldering, tin the wire and the terminal separately and join them quickly so the nylon does not deform.
