The H version has a cover that snaps over the terminals and encloses the solder joint, so no heat shrink is needed and the joint is protected from shorts and pulls.

The contacts are gold-plated copper and the body is nylon, rated from -20 to 120 °C. They handle 60 A continuous and 100 A peak, plenty for a 5-inch FPV drone, and Amass recommends 12 AWG wire and about 1000 mating cycles of service life.

XT60H connectors are the standard battery plug on 5-inch FPV drones and many chargers, so with this pair you can replace a drone’s plug, repair a battery lead or make your own charge leads. When soldering, tin the wire and the terminal separately and join them quickly so the nylon does not deform.

XT60H connector specifications

Material: gold-plated copper and nylon (PA)

Current: 60 A continuous and 100 A peak

Temperature: -20 to 120 °C

Recommended wire: 12 AWG

Recommended soldering: 480 °C for 4 s

Weight: 7.72 g each

Contents: 1 male and 1 female with covers

Frequently asked questions about the XT60H connectors

Are they compatible with regular XT60s?

Yes, the mating part is the same; only the rear cover differs.

More for your drone

XT60 connector with 12 AWG wire

Cables and connectors

Amass products

FPV guides

Pair of genuine Amass XT60H connectors, male and female, with a cover that encloses the solder joint.
