It brings together drone control, a 5.5\" touchscreen and apps such as Betaflight Configurator or QGroundControl in a single device.<\/p>\n<p>To fly you need an ExpressLRS receiver in the drone. With MAVLink passthrough over Wi-Fi you can use compatible apps such as QGroundControl or Betaflight Configurator on the radio itself and check telemetry without taking a laptop to the field.<\/p>\n<p>With the DJI Fly app and a USB-C OTG cable, the AX12 screen can show the live video from DJI goggles. That way a spotter or instructor can watch the flight while the pilot wears the goggles.<\/p>\n<p>Before buying, check that your drone has an ExpressLRS receiver or that you can fit one.<\/p>\n<h3>Android or EdgeTX: what changes<\/h3>\n<p>RadioMaster radios such as the GX12 or the TX16S run EdgeTX. The RadioMaster AX12 runs RadioMasterOS: it keeps mixes, 12-point curves, dual rates, model templates, voice alerts and Lua scripts, but you operate it from the touchscreen and you can install Android apps.<\/p>\n<h3>Frequently asked questions about the RadioMaster AX12<\/h3>\n<h4>Does it include a receiver?<\/h4>\n<p>No. The radio has ExpressLRS built in, but the receiver for the drone is sold separately.<\/p>\n<h4>Is this the LBT version?<\/h4>\n<p>No. This is the FCC version, code HP0157.0109. RadioMaster also makes a separate LBT version, code HP0157.0109-LBT.<\/p>\n<h4>Does it come with a charger?<\/h4>\n<p>No. It comes with two USB cables, and you need a USB PD compatible charger to charge it.<\/p>\n<h4>Can it be updated?<\/h4>\n<p>The radio firmware updates over Wi-Fi. The Android version, 9.0, cannot be updated.<\/p>\n<h4>Does it support external modules?<\/h4>\n<p>Yes, compatible Nano-size ExpressLRS modules.
